What is per person sharing?

All prices listed for our group trips are per person sharing, which means you will be paired with another solo traveller of your choice or with a friend. Single occupancy means that you have your own room and there is an additional cost for a private room.

Do I need travel insurance?

We require all our travellers to purchase travel insurance before the departure date of their booked trip. Travel insurance is necessary to cover unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellation due to illness, trip interruptions, flight delayed, injuries or sickness while on holiday and stolen or lost luggage.

Travellers can choose a travel insurer of their choice, however we can also assist to facilitate it at a cost. Our fees are as below:

R650 for short trips in Africa(6 days or less)
R950 for international trips outside of the continent ( 6 days up to 12 days)

Please add this as a travel extra when you make your booking if you want us to facilitate it for you with our suppliers.

If you book it yourself, you will be required to email us your proof of travel insurance, one week before the trip.

What about internet access while I am on the trip?

You have two options for internet access, you can enable roaming on your South African number, or buy a Simcard abroad if you need to stay connected to the internet. The hotels we choose do come with free Wi-Fi connection, however this will not be available while you are out on tours.

Do I require a visa to travel to the UAE?

South African passport holders need a visa to enter the United Arab Emirates. Fortunately it is included in your package.

What currency is used in Dubai?

The UAE Dirham (AED). R1 is roughly 0.20 AED, but rates fluctuate.

Can I request a room upgrade?

Yes, but it comes at an extra cost and is subject to availability.

Will I be sharing a room?

Yes, unless you pay extra for a private room.

What is the time difference between South Africa and Dubai?

Dubai is 2 hours ahead of South Africa.

What souvenirs can I buy in Dubai?

Popular souvenirs include gold jewelry, dates, perfumes, Arabic coffee, and designer brands.

Is there a dress code for visiting mosques?

Yes, visitors must dress modestly. Women are required to cover their heads with a scarf, and both men and women should avoid wearing shorts or sleeveless clothing.
