Day 1 :

Departure

Depart from South Africa and arrive in Brazil approximately 14 hours later. Brazil is 5 hours behind South Africa, so we will arrive in the evening. Upon arrival, we will settle into our hotel and enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 2 :

Santa Teresa and Selarón Steps

Visit Santa Teresa, a historic neighbourhood nestled in the hills of Rio de Janeiro, renowned for its unique blend of culture and art. We’ll explore its winding alleys, visit charming art galleries, and enjoy panoramic views from its hilltop vantage points. Along the way, we’ll savour delicious bites from its famous restaurants, cafés, and bars. Our tour will culminate at the iconic Selarón Steps, a vibrant mosaic masterpiece crafted by artist Jorge Selarón. These beloved steps, offering stunning views and a perfect photo opportunity, attract tourists from around the world.

Day 3 :

Beach Day (Suggested beach)

You can visit the highest navigable lake in the world, Copacabana. A charming Bolivian town known for its scenic beauty, cultural significance, and relaxed atmosphere. This picturesque town serves as a popular gateway for exploring the lake and its mystical islands.

Or visit the shores of Lake Titicaca, enjoy a leisurely walk along the shores, try local cuisine at lakeside restaurants or take a paddleboat ride on the serene waters.

Most key attractions Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, Lake Titicaca, Cerro Calvario and Copacabana Beach.

Day 4 :

Christ the Redeemer and Tijuca Forest

Travel across the winding pathways of the hills to discover the 30-meter iconic statue of Jesus Christ, perched atop Corcovado Mountain in Rio. With its panoramic views, this statue stands as a symbol of faith and pride, recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders with a scenic train journey through Tijuca National Park.

Use the rest of the evening as you wish, as you will be looking forward to a free day tomorrow.

Free Day

Take advantage of a leisurely day to unwind and enjoy a free day to relax at the hotel. In the evening, dine at a local restaurant along Avenida Atlântica, savouring delicious cuisine while taking in the beautiful views of the beach.

La Orilla: Known for its fresh seafood and cozy, intimate setting.

Alax Pacha: Offers a fusion of traditional and contemporary Bolivian dishes, with a focus on organic ingredients.

Rio Samba and Sunset Boat Cruise

We will be embarking Rio Samba the vibrant and energetic style of music and dance that originated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is deeply rooted in the city’s rich cultural heritage and is a central element of its annual Carnival celebration. And to top it off, enjoy the sunset from the water. In Rio de Janeiro, sunset boat tours offer stunning views of the city’s iconic landmarks, including Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer and Copacabana Beach, bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun. Tours include drinks, snacks and live music, providing a relaxing and memorable experience for participants.

Rio to Sao Paulo

Today, we journey from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo to catch our connecting flight. While our time in São Paulo is limited, there may be a chance to explore a few optional activities.

Day 8 :

Departure

Start your day with breakfast as you depart to South Africa today. Check on your traveling documents as you prepare to check out the hotel and transfer to the airport. We will arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure to allow us ample time to check-in, pass through security and immigration. You can also use this time to explore the last of the airport amenities. This final leg of your journey marks the end of your stay in Brazil arriving in South Africa.

What is per person sharing?

All prices listed for our group trips are per person sharing, which means you will be paired with another solo traveller of your choice or with a friend. Single occupancy means that you have your own room and there is an additional cost for a private room.

What about internet access while I am travelling?

You have two options for internet access, you can enable roaming on your South African number, or buy a Simcard abroad if you need to stay connected to the internet. The hotels we choose do come with free Wi-Fi connection, however this will not be available while you are out on tours.

Do I need travel insurance?

We require all our travellers to purchase travel insurance before the departure date of their booked trip. Travel insurance is necessary to cover unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellation due to illness, trip interruptions, flight delayed, injuries or sickness while on holiday and stolen or lost luggage.

Travellers can choose a travel insurer of their choice, however we can also assist to facilitate it at a cost. Our fees are as below:

If you book it yourself, you will be required to email us your proof of travel insurance, one week before the trip.
