All prices listed for our group trips are per person sharing, which means you will be paired with another solo traveller of your choice or with a friend. Single occupancy means that you have your own room and there is an additional cost for a private room.

We require all our travellers to purchase travel insurance before the departure date of their booked trip. Travel insurance is necessary to cover unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellation due to illness, trip interruptions, flight delayed, injuries or sickness while on holiday and stolen or lost luggage.

Travellers can choose a travel insurer of their choice, however we can also assist to facilitate it at a cost. Our fees are as below:

1. R650 for short trips in Africa(6 days or less)
2. R950 for international trips outside of the continent ( 6 days up to 12 days)

Please add this as a travel extra when you make your booking if you want us to facilitate it for you with our suppliers.

If you book it yourself, you will be required to email us your proof of travel insurance, one week before the trip.

You have two options for internet access, you can enable roaming on your South African number, or buy a Simcard abroad if you need to stay connected to the internet. The hotels we choose do come with free Wi-Fi connection, however this will not be available while you are out on tours.

The currency used is the Mauritian Rupee (MUR), though most businesses also accept credit cards. It’s advisable to carry some cash for small purchases.

South African passport holders do not need a visa for stays of up to 60 days.

The official language is English, but most locals speak French and Creole. English is widely understood in tourist areas.

Yes, you can use your South African cell phone in Mauritius, but check with your mobile provider for international roaming charges. Alternatively, you can buy a local SIM card.

Yes, the beaches in Mauritius are generally safe for swimming. Be mindful of local advice regarding currents, especially if swimming in areas where the waves can be strong.
