Itinerary
Depart from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg for your overnight flight to Istanbul. Sit back and enjoy your flight as your adventure begins.
Arrive in Istanbul, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest and freshen up after your flight. In the evening, you will enjoy a Bosporus Dinner Cruise, featuring delicious Turkish cuisine, live music, and traditional performances.
After breakfast, set out on a full-day Historical Istanbul Tour. Visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace, once home to Ottoman sultans. Stroll through Hippodrome Square and end your day shopping or exploring the vibrant Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest covered markets.
Experience the charm of modern and cultural Istanbul. Start the day exploring Istiklal Street and Taksim Square, the heart of the city’s contemporary life. Walk across the Galata Bridge to visit the Galata Tower, offering panoramic views of Istanbul’s skyline. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional Turkish coffee tasting or visit a local art gallery for a taste of Istanbul’s creative scene. The evening is free to relax or explore the city’s vibrant nightlife.
Today is a free day to explore Istanbul at your own pace. You might take a leisurely stroll along the Bosphorus shoreline, relax in a café overlooking the water.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo, Egypt. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure and a group dinner with a beautiful view of Cairo by night.
Begin the day with a guided Giza Pyramids and Sphinx Tour. Explore the Great Pyramids, the Valley Temple, and the famous Sphinx. You’ll also visit a papyrus institute and local craft shops. In the afternoon, you can opt to visit the Egyptian Museum or wander through the lively Khan el Khalili Bazaar.
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Cairo. This is your chance to relax, explore at your own pace, shop, or take optional tours, such as a visit to Saqqara, Memphis, or even a Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids.
Enjoy breakfast and prepare for your return journey. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.

All prices listed for our group trips are per person sharing, which means you will be paired with another solo traveller of your choice or with a friend. Single occupancy means that you have your own room and there is an additional cost for a private room.
We require all our travellers to purchase travel insurance before the departure date of their booked trip. Travel insurance is necessary to cover unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellation due to illness, trip interruptions, flight delayed, injuries or sickness while on holiday and stolen or lost luggage.
You have two options for internet access, you can enable roaming on your South African number, or buy a Simcard abroad if you need to stay connected to the internet. The hotels we choose do come with free Wi-Fi connection, however this will not be available while you are out on tours.

Egypt: Egyptian Pound (EGP). Credit cards are accepted in most hotels and large establishments, but cash is preferred for small purchases and markets.
